What we use
Cookies and browser storage support account security and the choices you make. We do not load advertising pixels, analytics SDKs, social tracking widgets or externally hosted fonts on the public website. Essential technologies do not require an optional-tracking opt-in. We still explain them and provide a cookie-settings control on every public page.
Essential account cookies
- orbyco_session: keeps you signed in, for up to seven days. HttpOnly and Secure in production.
- orbyco_challenge: binds the security question to your browser, for up to five minutes.
- orbyco_human: a one-time security check for Google sign-in, for up to two minutes.
- orbyco_oauth_state: protects Google sign-in, for up to ten minutes.
Google sign-in is optional. Following it opens Google's own service, which has its own privacy and cookie policies.
Browser storage
orbyco-cookie-preferences-v1 records your essential-only choice in local storage until you clear it or change your choice. A short-lived incident queue in session storage holds operation names and error codes so failed service reports can retry. It does not include passwords, message bodies, business searches or payment details. Session storage ends when its tab session ends.
Your control
Use Cookie settings to review your choice. You can also remove cookies and storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies prevents sign-in and security checks from working. Browsing public pages does not require an account. There is no optional-tracking switch because no optional trackers are installed; saving a preference never enables tracking. If that changes, non-exempt tracking must remain blocked until you make a separate, informed choice with equally easy acceptance and rejection.
